A Note from the Regent
Well, it is hard to believe that this is my farewell message. It really does seem like the last two years have flown by so quickly There are so many things I would like to say and so many people I would like to thank for making my time as Regent so fulfilling. Every member of this Court made me feel welcome from the very beginning. A very special thank you to all of the ladies who served as officers and to those who served as committee chairs. By saying yes when asked to volunteer, you enabled this Court to do many fabulous things.
The last two years and also the four years as treasurer of my life have been filled with incredible highs and lows for me personally. I sincerely appreciate the prayers and support that you have given me. There were many times when this Court held me together. For that, I am forever grateful.
I wish you all a safe and happy summer. Love and Prayers.
Janey Schumacher

June Salad Supper
We are having our annual Salad Supper in June. Afterwards, the court will present the scholarships and State winners in the Education Contest. The raffle prizes will be given away and the court will install the new officers. Jeannette Rehak and Mary Ondrush are chairing this event. The Court will be celebrating its sixtieth Anniversary.
Plans are already underway for the Annual Holy Rosary Bazaar!
Court Holy Rosary #1476 will once again be hosting the always popular Cake Spin Booth.
Thank you to Norma Locker, Irene Cervenka, Joan Rhemann, and Rose Pederson for agreeing to chair the Cake Spin Booth. Ladies, remember we will not meet before the Bazaar so keep an eye out for sign up sheets for volunteers at the booth. The more ladies that work, the easier it is for everyone to enjoy the Bazaar. Besides, what more could you ask for, at least our booth is in the air conditioning!!
Also I have been asked to remind the ladies that this is a cake spin booth and please bring a cake or pie. Cookies do not go over very well.

Healing for God's Glory
Father, I'm praying for (name one or more) and others in my circle of family and friends in need of Your healing touch...
For these who are sick, have medical conditions, or have suffered accidents, I ask You to look upon them with Your mercy and compassion. I know our days are numbered and sometimes You have a different plan, but You have taught us that sometimes we don't have what's needed because we haven't asked, and so I ask for healing. May Your Spirit help me when I don't know what to ask, and above all, may Your will be done. (Romans 9:15; Psalm 139:16; James 4:2b; Romans 8:26; Matthew 6:10)

This is the recipe from the April Supper.
Velveeta Tex- Mex Beef and Potatoes
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium red or green pepper (about 1 cup.)
1 medium onion, chopped (about ¾ cups.
Note: I just use 2- cups of frozen seasoning found in the Frozen Food
Section at Wal-Mart. It has onions and peppers and celery mixed.
1 pkg. (1-1/4oz.) Taco Seasoning Mix
½ cup of water (I use chicken broth.)
4 cups frozen Southern-style has browns(cubed, not shredded, variety)
1 pkg. (10oz) frozen corn
½ lb. (8 oz) Velveeta Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cut up
Preheat oven to 350 F. Brown meat with peppers and onions in large skillet on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to break up meat; drain. Return meat mixture to skillet *.
Add taco seasoning ix and water; stir until well blended. Stir in potatoes, corn and Velveeta. Spoon into a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish. Cover with foil.
Bake 20 min. Uncover; stir gently. Bake, uncovered, an additional 15 min. or until heated through.
Secret to my success: I use some chicken drippings or a little chicken grease to brown the onions in the skillet.
Following Mary's Example
All-powerful and ever-living God,
in the plan of your wisdom,
she who bore the Christ in her womb
was raised body and soul in glory to be with Him in heaven.
May we follow her example in reflecting Your holiness
and join her hymn of endless life and praise.
Amen.
