A Note from the Regent
April showers bring May flowers. Everyone remembers this little saying from when we were younger. I never really thought about this until I became a little older and appreciated the rain for the nourishment that it provided to this world. The rain wakes up the world again each spring and allows the beautiful trees, flowers, and crops to flourish. I wish all of you and your families a blessed Easter Season.
Love and prayers,
Janey Schumacher

Poetry Judy Shimek Janecka
Long-time Court Holy Rosary #1476 member, Judy Janecka, once again won first place in our adult category for the National Education Contect. Judy continues to submit beautiful poetry for everyone to enjoy. Here is this year's winning entry:
Jesus The Light of the World
Jesus the light of the world, let me shine Your light for all to see;
May I glorify you in thought, deed, word, and song, so to praise you my whole life long.
To those in need, to those who grieve, to those who are unaware,
Help me to let them know You are ever there -- that You always care.
Be my guide in all I do, help me bring them home to You;
With a touch, with a smile, let me help them, at least once in a while.
And, when my life on earth is done, and the final victory I have won,
With Your beacon shining bright please greet me, "Jesus the Light of the World."
Thank you Patti, for all of your hard work. The trophies will be presented on the last day of school, and the 8th grade trophies will be presented the night of graduation at the awards banquet.
Congratulations!

Fourth Annual Fundraiser - Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, April 20, 2008
Are you ready for our Fundraiser?
We sure hope so because Court Holy Rosary's Fourth Annual Spring Fundraiser is coming together. The Committee, spearheaded by Janey Schumacher, has decided to serve spaghetti with salad and bread. Pastries will be sold separately. Meals will be provided from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
The meal tickets will be sold at the April meeting for $6.00, presale, and $7.00 on the day of the Spaghetti Dinner. Raffle tickets, as well as meal tickets, will also be available at the April meeting. In addition to picking up your own meal tickets, you can pick up some tickets for your friends and neighbors.
We will also have a Flags-Up game to raise money for charities.
Last year's event was a tremendous success. We know that together we can work to make this event even bigger and better than last year. The Court needs some help on Saturday morning to make the sauce and to setup the exhibition tables. Ladies, we need to make as much as possible, so please come out and help. You can sign-up to work the event, donate a prize for the Flags-Up game, make a dessert, and much more.

Hey Everyone,
I am working on the estimate of what it would cost to buy outdoor equipment for the Children's Tutorial. Brother Albert has been working with me regarding any permanent fixtures that we could put in the play area. He is against putting them in because he says they get vandalized. They will be thrilled to have real equipment. Our goal posts at this time are plastic chairs placed apart. Our bases for kickball are also quite creative; painted chalk markings or ribbons tied on trees and light-posts in the running area. They are a cause for passionate agruments whenever they are called out! The kids are hilarious and wonderful! We will have a very active Summer Program this Summer and all of this equipment will help make it more effective and fun! I think we can buy most of this equipment with an amount of about $500.00. I inquired at Acadamy and WalMart, considering several price ranges. Everything I looked into has a scale of quality considered. You know how that goes. Thank You again for your loving concern.
Love Alicia
Please give a donation if you can and the Catholic Daughters will vote on an amount at the April 1, 2008 meeting. Children are very important people and if the Court can help, we will. Thanks, Janey.
